I must say that this has been a hard book to put down...
So I was casually browsing the FSAE forums(www.fsae.com) and I stumbled upon a thread that the author made when he finished writing his book. The book covers the life of a Formula SAE student as they go through the design, build and testing phases of the project.
It is very difficult to describe to someone what Formula is all about and what kind of a toll it takes on your social life and your grades. A lot of people associate how well you did in school by the grades you have, but FSAE members know that its all baloney! How well you do in your classes matters but what you learn and what you take from the university experience is what REALLY counts(at least in my opinion). I have met some very intelligent people that weren't part of Formula but honestly if I was an employer I would only hire FSAE members. The hard work, dedication and desire to learn is unmatched.
So how much is this book and is it worth it? Well the original price is $10 but the author listed a promo-code that lowered it to $5. After finding out that his cut was only $0.04 after the promo-code I felt like I should at least give back to someone who spent the time to write the book. Needless to say I did not use the promocode and feel as though the book is worth $20...
I am most of the way through the book and its nice to see my university mentioned. The author is FANTASTIC and really engages the reader. The charts, graphs and photos are stunning and all have relevance. It isn't without grammatical flaws, but heck, this is an engineering student!
Awesome book, will lend it to all my friends! Want to buy it? Check out this link to the FSAE forums where you can go and buy the book!Get the book!
